The 2019 Volvo XC90 delivers a new way of thinking about luxury SUVs. It starts at $47,700 MSRP and runs on a standard 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine with front-wheel drive. It's also available in a hybrid model that delivers a combined 400 hp. Inside, seven passengers can ride around Houston comfortably. There's also 85.7 cubic feet of storage space for all your musical or sports equipment, adventure gear, or groceries. We think this SUV is a smart investment and fun vehicle to drive, but do the critics agree?

At base trim levels, it's full of high-tech safety features and luxurious cabin materials, and it even starts at a reasonable price." They also noted that when you start exploring higher trims, "you've got an SUV with a refrigerator in the back seat" for serious luxury and exciting driving experience as you cruise through Dallas.

Motor Trend

Motor Trend notes that "Volvo has long been known for exceptionally comfortable front seats that offer a great deal of support," and this review of the previous model looks specifically at the Excellence trim, saying that the "XC90 Excellence adds this comfort to the second row, with two seats separated by a center console ... but which sacrifices almost no functionality" and that the rear seats "are heated, cooled, and offer a number of massage programs as well as adjustable lumbar support, side bolsters, and thigh support."
