Performance
Performance is important to many of our Lakeway, TX customers. If you're curious to know what kind of engine the XC60 runs on, you'll be pleased to find out that there are multiple options. The B5 models run on a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that can generate 250 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. This is plenty of power for everyday commuting around Pflugerville, TX, and it's also enough to make things a little exciting. The B5 models can either come as front-wheel or all-wheel-drive models.
When you move up to the B6 models, all-wheel drive is the only type of drivetrain available. The B6 models are powered by a turbocharged and supercharged (twincharged) engine, which also has a displacement of two liters. This engine can output 316 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque.
If this still isn't enough for you, check out what the Recharge powertrain has to offer. Previously known as the "T8," Recharge was rebranded to coincide with Volvo's push towards its goal of changing 50-percent of its fleet to electric models. The XC60 Recharge combines the T6's twincharged engine and adds an electric motor and battery pack. This plug-in hybrid system generates an authoritative 400 horsepower and 472 pound-feet of torque. Considering that the Volvo SUV can tow up to 3,500 pounds, it's clear that this luxury vehicle can handle tough jobs and is ready for a variety of situations in and around San Marcos, TX.
The 2022 XC60 is a Mild Hybrid SUV. The Mild Hybrid kicks in when you accelerate or cruise down the highway and gives you an electric push while saving you some gas mileage. Partnered with the 2.0-liter Direct Injected Turbo engine, you get a combined horsepower of 260 and 258 pound-feet of torque.
Safety
Volvo is known for its commitment to safety, and in the XC60, you'll benefit from having a full complement of standard IntelliSafe advanced driver-assistance technologies. Collision Mitigation with Steering Support features advanced sensors that scan the road for other vehicles, large animals, cyclists, and pedestrians in your path. After alerting you to a potential collision, the system can automatically apply the brakes if you're unable to respond in time. Lane Keeping Aid can provide steering support to maintain a straight path, and Run-off Road Mitigation can detect unintentional drifting and direct the XC60 back into its lane.
The XC60 has several driver aids available in the base trim, including Blind Spot Information System, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and Steering-Adaptive LED headlights. Other standard safety features include Oncoming Lane Mitigation, Road Sign Detection, Driver Attention Warning, and automatic high beams.
Check out the available Advanced package for Volvo's Pilot Assist semi-autonomous driving system with adaptive cruise control, and a 360-degree Surround View camera system.
